Hola! Me llamo Joy Sander and I am the Spanish teacher for K through 10th grade here at Manhattan Christian School!
I first fell in love with the Spanish language on a mission trip with my family when I was 7 years old. Ever since Spanish has been a heartfelt passion. I really enjoy improving my own Spanish skills and hope to pass on that excitement to my fabulous students.
In 2007 I graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. I have since added a K-12 Spanish-teaching endorsement to my teaching license.
My family and I worked for three years with Youth With A Mission, participating in short-term missions trips to Costa Rica, Thailand, and the Dominican Republic. We later moved down to the Dominican Republic to serve (also with YWAM) for another 2 years.
My husband and I live in Churchill with our five kids. We also have a Corgi named Miss Eliza Bennett (Lizzie) and two cats (Stick & Pepper).
