Hi! I’m Abbi Mulder, and I’m thrilled to be part of the MCS community! I’ve been married to my husband, Andrew, for two years, and we have a fun, energetic golden retriever named Morris who just turned one!
This will be my third year teaching. Before coming to Manhattan Christian School, I taught middle school ELA at Rehoboth Christian School in New Mexico. I graduated from Taylor University in 2023 with a degree in elementary education and a concentration in middle school science, and I am currently working toward my masters degree in science education at Montana State University.
One of the reasons I love science is because it gives us the chance to explore creation with curiosity and wonder. Whether we’re looking at the intricate design of a leaf, studying the vastness of space, or testing water samples from our local streams, each discovery points us back to the beauty, order, and creativity of God. For me, science is not just about learning facts, it’s about uncovering glimpses of God’s love and care for us woven into the world He made. My deep hope is that my students will also begin to see science as a way to encounter God’s wonder, and that they will recognize how His love is revealed in both the mysteries and patterns of creation.
A few of my favorites:
Hobbies: Fly fishing, quilting, basketball, pickleball, hiking
Drinks: Vanilla lattes and Poppi Sodas (specifically the raspberry rose flavor)
Snack: Popcorn and KitKats
Store: Target, Amazon, TjMaxx
Bible Verse: Job 37-42
