New financial literacy software has been created to educate tauira on how to be smart with their money. Pēke Kā is entirely in te reo Māori and caters to rangatahi in kura kaupapa Māori and Māori immersion.

Raising student achievement at NCEA using Polyfest (web) Polyfest provides the opportunity to re-think curriculum planning and design to improve student achievement results for NCEA. Teachers in this video redesigned their senior school learning programmes so that at least one NCEA achievement standard was linked to Polyfest in English, science, social sciences, and languages. NCEA results improved significantly with record results for the college.

Māori Dictionary (web iOS Android) This dictionary is an excellent ‘go-to’ for translations, narrative texts and resources, giving you quick access to topics, grammatical and usage explanations, idioms and colloquialisms, maps and illustrations. The web-based version is free, or you can purchase apps in both platforms as an off-line dictionary.

It includes animations, podcasts, and streamed television programmes for developing listening comprehension skills. Also includes explanations of language and culture. This website also provides access to a further range of associated free online resources for independent learning and interaction. You can use Te Whanake to learn Māori online, through the interactive Māori language learning modules.
