Marriage Preparation & Maintenance

Are you just existing in the same space with your spouse?
Maybe
you don't have it as rough as some other couples you know.

You’re definitely not as dysfunctional as your own parents.
But you’re terrified of becoming them?

We can work together to help you thrive, even if you’re not ready to start talking about divorce.

Why do people wait to that point to get therapy anyway?

Here's what you can expect:

In marriage counseling, your relationship is my client. I don't single out one person in the relationship who I think is the problem. If I ever focus in on just one person, it's for the goal of improving the relationship and not to cast blame or judgment.

I give a lot of homework in couples’ counseling. If you’re not ready to work on your relationship outside of the therapy hour each week, you will get considerably less from your time with me. Don’t worry; I know you’re busy. I’ll work with you to figure out how to make your relationship a priority again, even though you have a busy lifestyle. I’m a firm believer that it’s the little things that can make and break a relationship. Small changes make a big difference over time.
