Northern Illinois Regional Conference
The FBLA Northern Regional Competition, January 26 @ Grayslake Central High School
Congratulations to Stillman Valley's FBLA members for their tremendous accomplishments at the Northern Regional Competitive Conference on Saturday, January 26. Members left on Friday afternoon on January 25 to head out for competition. After having a fun-filled night at the hotel, the members ventured off to Grayslake Central High School. The results of the competition are as follows:
- 1st Place Introduction to Public Speaking: Mr. Richie Sutliff
- 2nd Pace Word-Processing: Ms. Casey Madeen
- 5th Place Computer Problem Solving: Mr. Misael Guerrero (President of FBLA)
- 4th Place Business Law: Ms. Elizabeth Oltmanns (Secretary of FBLA)
- 8th Place Introduction to Public Speaking: Mr. Tyler Kubiszewski (Reporter of FBLA)
- 14th Place Accounting 1: Nicole Bredeson (Vice President of FBLA)
Special thanks to Elizabeth Oltmanns and Casey Madeen for participating in the Battle of the Chapters. Congratulations to Elizabeth Oltmanns for finishing in the top 5. Special thanks to Nicole Bredeson for being a candidate for a "pie in the face" for March of Dimes.

Also, a very special thank you to the advisers for preparing and attending the competition with the members. Special thank youi to Mrs. Tammy Pierson for driving and withstanding the "noises" generated by bus travel:) Also special thanks to Jim Coons and Marty Typer for being open to meeting with students for competition.
