Want to mentor the next generation of business leaders? With membership in the FBLA-PBL Professional Division, you can. Who can be a professional member? Any former FBLA members, employers, educators, FBLA-PBL advisers, parents, and business people. When should you join? The best time to join each year is after August 1. FBLA’s fiscal calendar begins on August 1.

​Professional Division members can be a great help to our SVHS FBLA chapter by mentoring members within our chapter. Divisional mentors may assist in the following ways:

  • Preparing members for local, regional and conference competitions (especially in technology competition)
  • Speaking at meetings
  • Helping with career counseling
  • Assisting with chapter activities and social events
  • Sometimes attending conferences with the chapter
  • Providing financial backing to the local chapter
  • Recruiting other business leaders
  • Offering job internships or job shadowing at your business
  • Becoming a judge at the state or national level
  • Any other ideas and/or suggestions that you might have!

Business professionals that join the Professional Division receive benefits that include:

  • Publications
  • Recruitment—Access to resources to help you recruit and engage Professional Division members.

The dues are $25 a year or $350 for a lifetime membership. Forms are available from the chapter advisor or a person can become a member online at the FBLA national website.
