Research

We are engaged in extensive research focused on microbiome analysis, leveraging high-throughput sequencing technologies, in a diverse range of fields. These areas encompass chicken gut microbiome (for enhancing chicken performance and developing pre/probiotics), elephant feces microbiome (for the animals' health), microbiome in anaerobic wastewater treatment systems (for wastewater treatment and biogas production), plants and soil microbiome (for plant growth and reduction of chemical usages), etc. Our research methodology involves the utilization of bioinformatics techniques to analyze high-throughput genetic sequences, enabling us to gain insights into microbial communities, their functions, and their intricate interactions within both their microbial peers and their respective environments. We perform microbiome data analysis utilizing a variety of sequencing technologies, including amplicon sequencing, shotgun metagenomics, and metatranscriptomics. To facilitate this analysis, we employ bioinformatics pipelines and computational approaches, encompassing statistical analyses, machine learning algorithms, and network analysis.
