Short-Term Memory
(Experiment Lab)
(Experiment Lab)
Overview
Short-term memory (STM) is what we can hold in memory for a short amount of time.
STM has a limited capacity and is influenced by serval factors, including timing to remember, the time between learning and testing, and proactive and retroactive interference.
The serial position effect is the fact that we tend to remember the first and last items in a list.
