The most common question we got for DUO Mobile is when students got a new phone and the DUO Mobile is not linked on the new phone. The DUO Mobile authenticator still remains on the new phone.
Steps :
Ask them to open up Canvas / myFresnoState on laptop or tablet (Websites that can trigger the DUO Mobile authentication page)
Click on Add a New Device on the left sidebar
DUO will ask for authentication, so just authenticate through Phone Call (Usually they still use the same phone number)
After DUO is authenticated, select the appropriate type of device and brand
Enter the same phone number and select "replace the existing device that holds the same phone number"
A QR code should pop up now, then open up the DUO Mobile app on the new phone and click Add.
Select Add via QR code and scan the QR code displayed on the laptop or tablet
Done
