Why run?
According to the CDC, physical activity is linked to numerous benefits:
Improved Academic Performance: Students who are physically active often have better grades, school attendance, memory, and classroom behaviors.
Enhanced Cognitive Function: Higher levels of physical activity and fitness are associated with improved concentration and memory.
We believe in the power of running to transform lives and are eager to see what your children can achieve with us.

Students will get their running tag scanned for each lap completed.
5.5 laps is equal to 1 mile.
Laps are accumulative and are tracked from the time your child enters the program.
Students will remain outside on the track until 7:36 a.m. At 7:36…they will have the choice to go inside or continue to run. The final victory lap will be at 7:38 a.m. Students will be back in the school at 7:40 a.m
***Students are responsible for their running tag.
After taking a break during COVID, Running Club returned in the 2021-2022 school year—and our runners have been going strong ever since!
The students love tracking their progress, so we post a weekly total of miles run, along with a cumulative total of all miles logged by Peeples students since Running Club restarted.
From our collected data, we've also established monthly running records! Students challenge themselves to see if they can beat past records and set new ones.
Keep running, Rockets! 🚀🏃♂️🏃♀️
Every lap counts in this program!
What you put into the program is what you are going to get out of it!
Laps are accumulative and are tracked from the time your child enters the program.
Awards are a great way to keep students motivated to run.
Students are awarded for their efforts during the running program.
They are awarded individually, by homeroom, and by grade level.
We do ask for a $10 donation to help pay for the program annually and all the awards the students will earn throughout the school year!
A special thank you to our 2025-2026 sponsors!!!
