Little Dribblers an extra-curricular, sports-related program for 3rd graders only! Coach Deborah Friday started this program over twenty years ago at Peeples and it has been a huge success. In her honor, we would like to continue the program. Much of the instruction for this program will take place in the regular P. E. class and two morning practices per week where your child will learn skills including dribbling, ball-handling and hand-eye coordination.

Participation in this program enhances a child’s self-esteem. Skills taught during the P. E. unit and the morning practices will be sequenced and choreographed to music for performances at our school and other schools in our community. These practices start in October and run through February. Practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:15 -7:40. There will be four or five performances between November and February. These performances will be at Starr’s Mill, Rising Starr, Whitewater High and Middle Schools and Peeples. The dates and times will be announced once they are confirmed with the middle and high schools.

Participation will improve students’ skills, hand-eye coordination, and give them exposure to the game of basketball as well as the experience of performing for an audience.  

Cost of the program is $30. Students will be provided a uniform and basketball. 

Scholarships are available upon request. See registration below.
