Course Information

HIT 79 - Healthcare Quality and Reimbursement explores healthcare quality and emerging pay-for-performance reimbursement methodologies. Analyzes the complexities of quality, the measurement and improvement of quality, and explores measures from a variety of organizations and comparison sites. Introduction to key theories and concepts, models of quality improvement as the basis for improved outcomes and reimbursement. 

Students will learn how to use appropriate quantitative and qualitative methodologies to collect and analyze statistical data related to patient care and services and apply data to administrative and financial decisions and problem solving.

Class is very interactive with group activities and in-class research blended with lectures and demonstrations. 

This is a fully online class.
