HIT 63 - Health Information Systems

Course Information

HIT 63 provides instruction in healthcare delivery systems utilized in health information management practice with emphasis on secondary data sources, accreditation and regulatory requirements, alternative healthcare settings, the electronic health record (EHR), and healthcare information systems.

You will have an opportunity to explore not only Acute Care, Ambulatory and Behavioral Health but also some of the uncommonly discussed but equally important delivery systems such as Correctional Health, Indian Health Services and Veterinary Medicine to name a few examples.

This is a fully online class.
