CryptPad (open source)
For proofreading help, Grammarly is not always correct, but it's still very useful. It helps me catch MANY typos and mistakes. Recommended—and the free version is sufficient.

Miro whiteboard & mindmapping & visual collaboration
Noodle Tools -- great for keeping track of your research and creating Works Cited lists. CCSF provides a free subscription with your google-associated mail.ccsf.edu account.
