Course Description
This course will survey and provide instruction for using contemporary e-commerce apps, e-business tools, online marketplaces, online platforms, social media e-commerce tools that facilitate entrepreneurial business success. Topics include case studies, discussions, and practical methods of planning, developing, managing, and marketing online business products and services.
Course topics:
E-commerce business models.
E-commerce revenue models.
Overview of offering products and services through an online business
Overview of online marketplaces such as Amazon and Etsy.
Overview of online platforms.
Marketplace and web store case studies.
Research, create, and assemble product information from Amazon, Etsy, listing.
New trends and tools for e-commerce and online business.
Understand and apply Search Engine Optimization.
Introduction to Social Commerce and Social Commerce Marketing .
Free tuition is available for City College students who have established California residency and live in San Francisco. Students apply for Free City by completing the one-page Free City Application which is included as a screen within the online registration process.

Adding the course after the beginning date: On the first day of class students may submit a course add request using their MyRam student account. You must submit an e-mail describing your interest in this course. Upon approval, students may register for the course.
