Website Builder for Business
Course Description:
This course will provide students with website building skills using online website builders, apps, and tools without coding to create and manage a business and/or individual website. Topics include creating web pages, using templates, page layout, online image selection, web graphics editing tools, integrating text, graphics, media, and business content into a website.
There is no prerequisite for this course. Beginners as well as intermediate students are welcome.
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
Create and manage a business or an individual website.
Create and assemble text, graphics, and media content for a website.
Organize website content using a dedicated website builder.
Use Website Builder apps such as Wix and WordPress.
Integrate business content, tools, and apps into a website.
Optimize websites for mobile phones.
Understand and apply search engine optimization tools to promote a website.
Use online image selection and web graphics editing tools.
Assignments will be posted on our Canvas online learning system and will be completed using online website builders and apps.

This is an online class offered through city online and has a 16-WEEK semester.
This is a fully online class with no required face-to-face meetings.
The course begins on 9/03/2024 and ends 12/20/2024
Free tuition is available for City College students who have established California residency and live in San Francisco. Students apply for Free City by completing the one-page Free City Application which is included as a screen within the online registration process. Registration is open now.

Adding the course after the beginning date: On the first day of class students may submit a course add request using their MyRam student account. Upon approval, students may register for the course.
Dropping the Class
If you decide to discontinue this course, it is the student's responsibility to officially drop it to avoid getting no refund, a W symbol, or an unsatisfactory grade. You may also opt for Pass/No Pass.
