storefront apps for E-Business
Course Description:
This course will demonstrate and utilize online website builders such as Square Online, Wix, and WooCommerce needed to build and maintain an e-business and e-store. Topics include building an online store, business strategy, online and mobile storefront options, offering products and services, sales activities, managing customers and orders, product and market research, advertising and marketing promotions, and search engine optimization.
Student Learning Objectives
Overview of E-Store Website Builder apps such as Square Online, Wix E-Commerce, WordPress/WooCommerce, and others.
Build an online store utilizing a website builder for e-business and e-commerce.
Create and manage an e-business and e-store website.
Create, assemble, and organize e-business and e-commerce content using a dedicated e-store builder.
Overview of the process of selling products and services.
Integrate e-business content, tools, and apps into a website.
Utilize mobile e-store and e-business apps.
Understand and apply search engine optimization and website analytics tools.
Use online advertising and marketing tools to promote a website.

This is an online class offered through city online and has a 16-WEEK semester.
This is a fully online class with no REQUIRED face-to-face meetings.
The course begins on 9/03/2024 and ends 12/20/2024
Assignments will be posted on our Canvas online learning system and will be completed using online storefront builders and apps. There is no prerequisite for this course. Beginners as well as intermediate students are welcome.
Free tuition is available for City College students who have established California residency and live in San Francisco. Students apply for Free City by completing the one-page Free City Application which is included as a screen within the online registration process. Registration is open now.
