A strong portfolio is your most important asset in starting your career. This advanced course will assist you in the conceptualization and development of your visual portfolio. We will cover design strategies, format options and editing and sequencing work for both print and interactive media.
The Portfolio Preparation class is an advanced “capstone” course that is open to students from various art, design and visual media disciplines and thus does not have a single set of prerequisites. However all applicants should have at minimum:

A body of work (academic, independent or professional projects) ready to be compiled into a portfolio book
At least fourth semester coursework

This is a remote learning course that will involve regular synchronous online class meetings, periodic one-on-one meetings via Zoom and a number of asynchronous lessons, discussions, exercises and projects published as modules through the Canvas online learning platform.
