What is the "Hour of Code"

Computer science has been identified as one of the most vital studies for modern society. Without computer science, we wouldn't have computers....or many other forms of technology that we rely on a daily basis.

The hour of code is an initiative to build understanding, appreciate, and interest in computer science among students like you! In this global initiative, students of all ages are encouraged and challenged to use code to solve problems and make really awesome things!

At the Madison Junior School, we will be doing something special for the 2016 Hour of Code as we are launching our entirely new STEM program and computer science elective courses. Check out the video below to see what this year's activity is all about!
