Multimedia and Design is a two marking period STEM elective offered to all 8th graders. In Multimedia and Design, students will learn the fundamentals of web design, photography, animation, graphic design, marketing, and production as they utilize various technology resources to create a range of projects. Students will create a webfolio to showcase their designs created in various CAD and design software. Students will learn how to create both raster and vector images and designs, as well as use rapid prototyping technology to reproduce their designs by creating decals, magnets, t-shirts, and more. Students will also utilize their photography skills to create a stop motion animation in video editing software. Multimedia and Design will act as a foundation for higher level video, graphics, photography, and publication courses may take in high school.
