The Beginning Band camp is for students who will be starting band for the first time in the upcoming fall semester. Students will learn the basics of their instrument, from putting it together for the very first time, making their first sounds, reading music, and even playing their very first concert by the end of the week! They'll have group lessons with area professionals while getting started on all the fun that band has to offer. It's a great headstart on their first year of band in the fall!

Beginning band students need to talk with their band directors about instrument selection and where to rent/purchase their instrument. Madison Music Camp does not provide instruments.

Each beginning band student will need the red "Tradition of Excellence" (Book 1) method book for their instrument. This can be purchased online or through a local music store like Gadsden Music or Madison Band Supply.
