Helpful Hints:
Do your research! There are so many careers available, many you may be unaware of! Take the time to talk with others about their careers, research options in Xello or other databases, or visit the LHS College and Career Center. Finding the "right" career for you includes making sure it is a good academic fit (meets your abilities), financial fit (will earn you enough money to maintain your lifestyle), and social fit (offers a schedule or benefits that meets your personal needs).
Job Shadow! On the topic of research this is the BEST format. If you have a chance to get into a job shadow to see the in's and out's of someone in the career that can tell more than any google search!
Gain work experience! There is nothing more intriguing to a possible boss than an employee with some solid work experience. BONUS if that experience is in your field of interest. Learning how to function in the workplace is a skill. A skill you can only learn as you navigate the workforce!
