Homecoming Week
By: Maddie Wood
Homecoming is just around the corner, and where there’s homecoming, there’s dress up days. Dressing up for school the week of homecoming is always exciting, especially when you have a fun theme to follow. This year, our homecoming theme is Barbie.
Tuesday - Iconic Duo Day
Wednesday - Pink goes with everything!
Thursday - Weird Barbie Day
Friday- Purple & Gold Day
These dress-up days have definitely got everyone excited for Homecoming, but there are also a few other festivities to participate in this week as well. One of them being the Homecoming posters. For Homecoming each year, every grade level works on a poster to put up in the gym for the game. Each class gets to have fun being creative with the theme and the way they show their Panther pride.
Speaking of Panther pride, we also have the Homecoming pep rally coming up on Friday along with the lipsync battle, to get everyone hyped up for the game. This year, we’re playing Brashear in our gym, at six o’clock, with the coronation and dance to follow. Make sure to come out, be loud, and support our players and cheerleaders!

FFA State Degrees
By: Haylee Cantu
Do you know what the difference between a State Degree and an American Degree is? A State Degree is open to all 11th grade students enrolled into an agricultural education program and who meet a number of hours of instruction and SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience) growth.
An American degree is the highest honor awarded to FFA members, who have been out of highschool for a year, and who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA.
Our State Degree recipients this year are Johnnie Thomas and Sierra Bryson. Johnnie won Area 4 Star Farmer. He will be moving on to compete at the state level in April on Friday!
We are proud of both of you and the accomplishments you both have done for this FFA chapter!
