Before use..., have you registered for UTAS?
If you are a student, all you need to do is to register your email address to the Academic Affairs System (UTAS).
Please bring your IC card student ID to enter the library.
If you do not use UTAS, please register for library use from our website.

5 booths with sound absorption panels and curtains are available. You can use the booth for working alone. The booths are not soundproof, but you can use it for taking online lectures or meeting on Zoom,
Available for group discussion and research for the medical members in UTokyo by 3-10⇒6 people.

Open for entering and browsing.

You can print a big poster for a conference or etc.

You can use some areas and services from 5:15 pm to 11:30 pm on weekdays.

Currently, you can return items by the following ways:
Put items into the Medical Library Book Post.
Send them by Mail to the library
Bring them to any other library in UTokyo.
You can ask to deliver the books of the Medical Library to the General Library.

Viewing the PDF file from on-campus network
This is a paid service.
Registration is required for the first time.
You will need to register your mailing address if you wish to receive copies by the campus mail.
The University of Tokyo provides access to various kinds of databases, e-journals and e-books.
You can find a list of databases at “mainly used electronic resources” on the top page in our website.
This webpage (on website called “ブクログ(Booklog)”) lists some of the e-books purchased at the Medical Library.
PubMed contains citations and abstracts of biomedical literature published in major medical journals around the world.
You can browse the databases which are available in the University of Tokyo.
A collection of citations of Japanese biomedical literature. You can use this database when you look for articles written in Japanese.
The gateway to search e-journals and e-books available in the University of Tokyo.
You can browse and search a list of available databases, including the University of Tokyo's members-only database.
Please also refer to ‘About the "Literacy" site".
Some of the databases licensed by the university are also available to be accessed from off-campus networks.

If the Medical Library doesn’t have what you need, you can either borrow it from other libraries in/out of the University of Tokyo or ask the Medical Library to purchase it. You can request online via MyOPAC and receive it at the Medical Library.
You can ask to deliver the books of other libraries in the University of Tokyo to the Medical Library.

You can order copies of books and literature from other institutions.

We are always accepting requests for purchasing materials from everyone.
If the book is purchased, you can borrow it with priority.
