Cathy Burgener - LIS

Why live in Lyman? The sunsets are divine! The country smell of cows and hay make me smile every time I experience the city and come back into my town! Being able to raise my children in this wonderful school district and also work here at LIS is the best! I love the professional, intelligent staff that I am so honored to work with. The small school is such a friendly, fun environment and we have great students! Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, our slower, quieter pace is wonderful! With clear air and close mountains nearby that I can be in the midst of in 25 minutes, is paradise! The ATV trails there are the best around!  At night all is quiet. The town goes to sleep. You can go up on Main Street at 8 P.M. and find very few cars. I love Lyman!

Tracy Jaggi - Tech Department

I was born and raised in Lyman; growing up I couldn’t wait to leave and find somewhere better - somewhere where everyone didn’t know everyone. After three years of traveling while in the US Navy, I returned home having concluded that Lyman was the best place on earth. My husband and I have been able to raise our five children here and provide them with education, school activities, many outdoor opportunities, and adventures. Having a four-day school week allowed us to follow our kids in all of their school sports yet still enjoy all of the other activities that we also love.

Being located in the southwest corner of the state allows us to travel in any direction; in a few hours - or much less - we enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, snowmobiling, ATV trails, hiking, paddle boarding and other water-sports. We are close to a major airport, Lagoon, Hogle Zoo, Grizzlies Hockey, and much more. After enjoying all of our various activities, we can’t wait to get back home - home to small-town living; home to people, smiles, and visits at work, in the grocery store, and the post office. Home - where everyone knows everyone. We love this town, community, and appreciate all of the love, support and friendships that our family has received here over the years; we believe Lyman is the best place on earth.
