Bastille Day in France is a holiday marking the storming of the Bastille, a military fortress and prison. The success of this battle was the beginning of the French revolution. Bastille day is celebrated in France on July 14th. The people of France celebrate Bastille Day as a symbol of their strength as a people to make change. The French people celebrate Bastille Day with family get togethers, picnics and fireworks, similar to how we celebrate the Fourth of July in the United States.
During Bastille day in France the performance is the military parade.
Students created the eiffel tower out of legos, pipe cleaner and other found materials to celebrate France's Bastille day. A student working remotely made crepes.
This symphony is part of a series of symphonies titled “Paris”. Queen Mary Antoinette very much enjoyed this symphony so Haydn dedicated it to her by naming it "La Reine", or in English “The Queen”.
