Math 7 High

Course Description

In this pre-algebra course, students will continue to operate with numbers and their opposites (integers). They will compute the area of composite figures, including circles, and the volume of increasingly complex three-dimensional shapes. Students will understand rational numbers, exponents, and roots and use them to calculate proportions, equations, and expressions. They will compute percents of increase and decrease and simple interest. Students will graph linear functions and understand the idea of slope and its relation to ratio. Students will deepen their understanding of statistics by investigating probability, analyzing graphs, and using sampling to understand populations. This course has a heavy emphasis on problem solving and real-world applications and moves at a fast pace. This course covers similar topics in greater detail than Math 7.

Please read and review the course syllabus (link above). Once complete, take the syllabus quiz found on Google Classroom with a parent or legal guardian. Refer to your Aeries account for access to our Google Classroom.
