Fourth and fifth grade science is taught by a specialist science and health teacher who teaches two year-long science programs that cover the fourth and fifth grade Next Generation Science Standards and Health Education Content Standards. The science standards are arranged by disciplinary core ideas: life, Earth and space, and physical science.

Each week, students will be receiving 100 minutes of science instruction from a specialist. The minutes are broken up into whole group and small group segments.

Additionally, students will work through The Great Body Shop health curriculum, which highlights the importance of personal safety, among other topics.
