Fourth graders will be utilizing the district's new Classroom Mathematics California curriculum. Students will be focusing on concepts such as factors, multiples, and multi-digit multiplication and division. It remains imperative that students are fluent with their basic multiplication and division facts; students can practice using the XtraMath program, found through the Clever Portal.

Among others, we focus on the "three reads" strategy to understand more complex word problems: 

1. What is the word problem about?

2. What question are we trying to answer/what do we need to solve?

3. What important information do we need in order to solve the problem?
