Join KASMA

Join Agoura High School’s award-winning Kinesiology and Sports Medicine Academy! By joining our program, you will gain extensive knowledge of human anatomy, injuries, and the healing process; get CPR and First Aid Certification; and have several opportunities for community service hours. The KASMA program is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fun learning environment. Students in our program work with our athletes on campus to provide first aid and can also obtain internships in medical facilities.

Kinesiology and Sports Medicine courses can count as UC D Life Science or G Elective credit.

The Kinesiology and Sports Medicine Academy Application is now closed. The application for 2027-2028 first-year KASMA students will open in Spring 2027.

Class of 2030 may apply in Spring 2027, until then...

• • Be a good example on campus

  • Come visit and introduce yourself in the Athletic Training Facility (ATF)

  • Maintain positive attendance and grades

The requirements to join the program are to be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior, to attend the interest meeting, and to complete the application process. This is a competitive program, and space is limited. The class is geared towards students who want to join the medical field; however, all career aspirations are welcome. While this program is a commitment, there is still time for arts, athletics, advanced classes, outside commitments, etc. If you join the program as a sophomore and complete the pathway, special recognition will be given at graduation. 

2026-2027 Kin 1 KASMA Application

*Must be a current freshman or older to apply

Phase 1: Initial Application

• January 27th or February 4th: Mandatory KASMA Interest Meeting

  • Location: G Building at Support.

  • Note: You must attend one of these two dates to remain eligible.

• February 15th: Initial Google Form Application Due

Phase 2: Supplemental Application 

• March 16th: Supplemental Application Due

Phase 3: Final Steps

• March: Teachers, staff, and coaches email for feedback on applicants

• May 1st: Decision Day

  • Emails will be sent to see if you have been accepted, waitlisted, or rejected.

    • All acceptances are pending scheduling 

• May 19th: Mandatory Lunch Meeting

  • This is required for all accepted students. 

• May - Summer: Enroll in Google Classroom and complete all necessary paperwork and assignments

• August: Start KASMA

• Be an example: Ensure you are being a good example inside and outside the classroom
