"I did Agoura's sports medicine program as an introduction to medicine and I was blown away. Everything we learned during the year has directly impacted my start in a medical career. I finished UCLA's EMT program, and everything I learned in sports medicine really put me ahead and taught me things I would have never known about injury, as well as lots of skills that aren't taught anywhere else. I recommend it to everybody- regardless of your career path. What you learn here could really help someone out one day. I'm now a neuroscience major going into my second year, and I hope to go to medical school."
"Participating in AHS sports med has shaped me as a student and directed me towards my future. This class was incredibly fun and very insightful. Being an athlete myself, I connected with this class through aiding in treating athletes for injuries as well as helping them in their recovery process. Without this class, I would not have known about all the possibilities there are in the medical field." - Olivia MacMillan
"Sports medicine was an amazing class and I learned so much. It is a great class because of the interactions between students and athletes. This class helped me with choosing a career path in the medical field." - Mathilda MacMillan
"This program led me to my decision to work towards physical therapy. It also provides me with incredible experiences where I learned valuable lessons that will benefit me in the future! Sports Med really helped me decide where I wanted to go in college. It helped me discover all the possibilities of the sports health profession."

"KASMA was an incredible experience for me in high school and really helped solidify my interest in pursuing medicine. The program gave me extensive, hands-on opportunities to work with athletes and make a real difference in a medical setting. Likewise, KASMA taught me the basics of human science such as anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology which I still use in my medical journey today. KASMA was truly a foundational part of my path and I’m so grateful for the doors it’s opened for me."

"I graduated AHS in 2018 and then went to the University of Kentucky where I got a bachelors in science in equine science and management with a minor in biology. I am currently a student at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and will graduate with my DVM in 2027. I plan to be an ambulatory general equine practitioner with a special interest in field surgery.
I was in KASMA for three years in high school and really loved my experience. This program gave me both great friends and mentors for life. It provided me with leadership opportunities including treasurer and team leader at games. It confirmed my true passion for medicine and challenged me in new ways that prepared me for my future!"

Class of 2019
"I graduated from AHS in 2019. I attended Chapman University and graduated in May 2023 with my B.S. in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Physical Therapy and double minored in Integrated Educational Studies and Dance. I currently am getting my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, with the intent of graduating in April 2026 and working as a Physical Therapist. KASMA helped me in my journey because being apart of the program made me realize how much I love helping others get back to doing what they love! I learned so much from KASMA and had a strong baseline of knowledge going into PT school, and I felt very comfortable being hands-on with my fellow classmates and patients!"
