The role of an EBT Rep is to represent their area within their market and foster a culture of employee ownership. The EBT Rep has a two year term and will take on their responsibilities in addition to their day-to-day responsibilities in their primary role (eg: sales assistant, production assistant).
Promote and advocate the principles set out in the Lush Ethical Charter
➜ Promote and drive the conversation around company initiatives within your area that connect with and relate to the core and evolving principles within the Lush Ethical Charter
➜ Uplift opportunities with local and/or UK&I support teams to incorporate references to the EBT and Lush Ethical Charter and its principles in every area of the employee journey
➜ Engage in discussion about our ethics in action with colleagues in your area of the business
➜ Become the expert and curiously seek to understand and further your own knowledge about our core and evolving principles as set our in the Lush Ethical Charter
➜ Report into the Lush EBT Trustees on how we are meeting or exceeding our minimum ethical standards
➜ Report on or uplift any reported breaches of the Lush Ethical Charter
Cultivate employee ownership and EBT understanding
➜ Work with the EBT team to educate all beneficiaries in your area of the business on what employee ownership means at Lush
➜ Uplift conversation around business updates and ensure beneficiaries have access to business updates, information, and opportunities
➜ Attend EBT Rep development sessions to continuously expand your knowledge on employee ownership and how to apply your knowledge as an EBT Rep
➜ Identify opportunities within your area to improve EBT knowledge and understanding
Engage with your colleagues to facilitate employee voice
➜ Build connections with the We Are Lush Community in your area of the business to promote two-way communication
➜ Actively network in your area to ensure colleagues know and understand how to share their thoughts with the business through the EBT, why and what to share, the impact and intention of employee voice, and what to expect
➜ Gather voice and sentiment from your area and work with the EBT team to ensure these thoughts are passed along to the right teams in the business for consideration
➜ Signpost colleagues to the appropriate teams or channels if what they need is not for the EBT
➜ Encourage a growth mindset and solutions-oriented approach to sharing your ideas, questions, and thoughts through the EBT
➜ Work with the EBT Team to create a summary of employee voice for your area of the business to present to the EBT Trustees and other business leaders when required
➜ Uplift the voices in your market and support and facilitate their feedback through the appropriate channels
➜ Promote employee voice and encourage colleagues to engage with the business through the EBT
