Guidance for Reps
Representing the voice of your peers is a great privilege, but we know it may also be a little daunting...
Have you ever found yourself asking:
‘Who should I share this with?’
‘Who should answer this question?’
‘How can I make sure this reaches the right person?’
Fear not! We have developed some guidelines to help!...
Where do I direct questions or ideas?
If in doubt, please contact the Lush EBT Coordinators at ebt@lush.co.uk, who will ensure your question or idea reaches the right person. Please feel free to share in your local language.
* A note for our Country Reps, if the staff in your market have shared an opinion/concern/idea you feel may be shared in other markets, you can also consult with the other EBT Country Reps to determine if their staff share your opinion/concern/idea and collectively present this to the EBT Trustees to represent your voices and share with the business on your behalf.
Things to remember (you've got this!)
Don't panic! You're not expected to have all the answers, just to share with the right people to ensure every member of staff is heard, their opinions are considered and that they receive a response that demonstrates that.
You have support at your finger tips! Your fellow EBT Reps will always be happy to share advice on how to manage a specific question or idea and The EBT Team are on hand to help with any questions you might have.
As beneficiaries of the EBT, we all have a responsibility to make the business the best it can be. As EBT Reps, we should encourage proactive engagement and positive contributions - try and encourage your peers to shape their feedback or concerns in a solutions focused way and offer ideas or solutions for how we can improve.
You have a voice for many. Listen and speak on behalf of those you represent with their opinions, not just your own.
When reaching out through the EBT, staff are speaking to the business. It is important that responses come from the right person or team in the business as the 'company's response', not based on personal opinion or knowledge from the Rep.
Answers to questions shared through the Lush EBT will be published for all to see, so when providing answers, consider that they will be shared with all 7,000+ employees. The question is not just being answered for the benefit of that individual, but for all Lush employees.
The EBT is not the place to raise management issues. Staff should first discuss such issues with their manager to find a solution or speak to their local People Experience contact if further support is needed.
Don't forget to refer to your Signposting poster in the EBT Rep Toolkit.
