Absences

In-class work: Because our class is not textbook driven, it is important that you make up the class work as quickly as possible. DON'T wait until right before the test!

The best way to do this is to get notes from a RESPONSIBLE friend and get them right away. When we are finished with a concept, the PowerPoint will be published to my website. Make sure to watch all the links at that time.

REMEMBER, it is best to do the notes before your next class and know you are responsible of the material taught while you are gone. If you don’t understand the notes or miss several days, please come by and see me in the morning for assistance.

Homework: Your missed homework can be found on the homework calendar on this webpage or gotten from a friend. If you should need a map or other worksheet, ask before class or in the morning. If you are absent when a paper assignment is collected, write the word absent across the top and place it in the homework tray in the back corner of the room. If the assignment is in Google Classroom or Schoology, make sure to email me at susanne.mitko@lsr7.net as soon as it is turned in. It is the only way I know a late assignment is completed.

Remember, you have one day to make ups work for each day you were absent. If you are out for a long time...let's talk.

Leaving town? Please talk to me before you leave. Every circumstance is different and so work cannot always be given in advanced. Also, the learning experience will not be the same if you miss class!
