About the Course
This course covers foundational programming concepts like variables, loops, conditionals, and functions using Python and the structure and fundamentals of the Linux operating system and terminal. Basic computer hardware and GPIO components will be covered via System on a Chip (SOC) systems such as Raspberry Pi’s. Students will code using Python to create Internet of Things (IoT) inventions for their final project. This is a beginner level course.

What You'll Do
Learn to program in Python with Harvard's CS50 curriculum
Create electronics projects with Raspberry Pis to light up bulbs and make sounds
Complete challenges using the Linux operating system and terminal
Design your own projects using your software and hardware skills! Other students have built motion-activated security cameras, live image recognition that detects 80 different object, and a Bluetooth controlled robotic vehicle with live video
This is a entry level class accessible to complete beginners while also offering new challenges to experienced students
