(Skill practice ideas are based on major skills from pre-K that will assist students entering Kindergarten)

MATH

• I can identify and draw a square, circle, and triangle 

• I can count four to ten objects

• I can recognize some numbers, 1-10

SUGGESTED PRACTICE

• Compare groups of items in your home, identify which group is more/less/same as

• Play games and practice counting

• Practice addition and subtraction with ordinary objects or toys

• Play with playdough to shape numbers and identify them

READING

• I can look at books or pictures on my own and pretend to read by using the pictures

• I am beginning to recognize uppercase and lowercase letters

• I can recognizes some letter sounds

• I can write my first name, with an uppercase first letter
