Welcome to the Long Branch Middle School Instrumental Music Program! Join us for an exciting musical journey open to all students in grades 6 through 8! Whether you're continuing your musical adventure from elementary school or starting fresh as a new member, our program has something special for everyone.  Our Instrumental Music Program currently offers a full-year concert band, exploratory band, and hoping to start up a brand new jazz band and smaller ensembles for the 2023-2024 school year! 

• New band students will have the fantastic opportunity to learn how to play an instrument and read music. Our dedicated band director will guide you through the basics, ensuring a solid foundation for your musical growth. 

• For continuing band students, the journey doesn't end – it evolves! You'll have the chance to master your instruments and dive deeper into new fundamentals that will elevate your skills and musicianship.

No worries if you don't have an instrument yet! Band instruments are easily accessible through rentals from local music companies, purchases from a music store, or borrowing from the school. We'll provide all the information you need during class discussions in September. If you have an instrument of your own from home, you are more than welcome to use it in the middle school program!

To make the most of your musical experience, we encourage all students to practice at home daily for a minimum of 20-25 minutes. Regular practice not only helps you understand the material taught in class but also enhances your overall performance on your instrument.
