Long Branch Middle School

Hello, bienvenidas, bem-vinda!

All students in grades 6 through 8 are invited to either continue their musical journey from elementary school or join as a brand new member of the Long Branch Middle School Instrumental Music program! New band students will have the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument and read music. For continuing band students, they will continue to master their instruments and learn new fundamentals that will improve their skills and musicianship. Band instruments can either be rented from local music companies, purchased from a music store, or borrowed from the school. More information about the band program and obtaining an instrument will be discussed in class during the month of September.

Students are encouraged to practice daily at home for a minimum time of 20-25 minutes. Practicing their instruments daily will ensure that they understand the material that was taught during their class for the week. Practice helps the student play their instruments better! This webpage will be updated frequently with new information on upcoming events and more. Make sure to follow all LBMS Band social media as well for updates, which are listed below.

The vision of the LBMS Band program this year will include taking a trip back in time to revisit old traditions and values of the band program and revamping them to benefit this year's students and future band students to come. These old and new traditions and values will help transform the LBMS Band to be one of the greatest middle school band programs again throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This year will be the start of something new for all!
