The school is in a small city in central Poland. The school was founded in 1963 and the patron of our school is a great Pole Pope John Paul II, his ideology and the way of thinking is a very strong foundation present at our society and life of our school. Our school consists of a primary school and a lower secondary school. We have about 340 pupils and 40 teachers. Our school is on the outskirts of the city and our students are from different families with different social backgrounds. They are also from poor families with not many possibilities to see the outside world, but they are really eager to grow their confidence and develop their language competence. In our school we have got various clubs such as a drama, physics and sports clubs. Our pupils participate in extracurricular activities such as: dance, theatre and charity organizations. There are two libraries, two IT classrooms, a day
room, a canteen, and there is equipment for multimedia presentations in almost all classrooms. The school has facilities for sports; two gyms, one football pitch with a tennis court, a basketball court and a playground for small children. We use electronic registers to store the data about the process of education like marks, topics of the lessons and to communicate with parents, students and the rest of the teachers. Medical services and psychologist consultations are available. Through international cooperation with our partners we aim to develop in many different fields. Our teachers are highly motivated to work on the project. We would like more teachers in our city and within our small communities to know about the good practices through Erasmus. Basing on the experience gained in the previous Erasmus project the school would like to develop both students and teachers, expand their knowledge, boost their skills such as language, communication, ICT, self confidence, as well as ability to function and cooperate with people in European world now and especially in the future and bearing in mind our common past. This year our school is celebrating 100 year anniversary of the establishment and the project would be a great accomplishment to share the past not forgetting about the present and the future. That is why the school would like to deal with the topic connected with the future and technology. Technology is the fastest growing and developing feature of modern school. The Erasmus+ team will consist of teachers and pedagogical staff experienced in English language teaching, Literature, History, Art and Design, Music, Multimedia and ICT, Science and PE.
