Program Director: Michelle Hart-Miller, L-AT, CSCS
Michelle Hart-Miller is in her 35th year as Head Athletic Trainer and has been an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for 31 years. She was honored in 2019 as the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association (NHSSCA) New Hampshire Strength Coach of the Year, recognized again in 2021 as the NHSSCA Region 8 ( VA, NJ, MA, CT, ME,NH,RI,VT, NY) Strength Coach of the Year, and inducted into the NHSSCA Hall of Fame in 2023.
Michelle serves in dual roles as the school’s original full-time certified athletic trainer (NATA) and as a certified strength and conditioning coach (NSCA). She designs and implements year-round athletic development programs for middle / high school athletes. Those who have remained consistent with her programming have gone on to successful collegiate careers across all levels (D1–D3), with one even reaching the NFL. Many of these athletes credit their early preparation and development as a key factor in their success at the next level. Michelle loves to work with teams and under her tenure, she has 4 football, 5 baseball, 2 softball, 1 hockey and 1 basketball state championship rings!
Mike Bicchieri, CSCS NHSSCA Certified
Mike is a former LHS and Plymouth State football player, is a full-time physical education teacher and coach. He recently met the requirements to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the NSCA and also has his high school strength coach certification through the NHSSCA. Mike has worked with our athletes since the early 2000’s and has been a football coach for the high school, junior high and Wildcats leagues and currently coaches our sprinters in track and field.
Dan Gear
Dan is a former LHS and Plymouth State football player. He is currently a full-time PE teacher, soccer and unified coach at LHS. Dan was an Iron Lancer all four years of high school and earned recognition as an NSCA High School All-American in strength and conditioning his senior year.
Natalie Turcotte L- ATC
Natalie comes to us after graduating with her Masters Degree from Southern Maine University and is in her first year as an Athletic Trainer at LHS. She has done a tremendous job rehabbing athletes this past year and has learned our system for athletic development. When she is not in the AT room she can be found in the weight-room coaching technique and providing motivation. She plans on taking the NSCA CSCS in the near future and will be working with our female athletes this summer.
Connor O’Neil
Connor O’Neil is in his second year as a full-time PE teacher, field hockey and track coach. Known for his energy and enthusiasm, Connor is a great motivator who brings both intensity and fun to the program. This will be his second summer working with our summer athletes.
Drew Heenan
Drew is a former LHS varsity quarterback and baseball catcher who currently plays quarterback at Springfield College where he is enrolled in the exercise science program. As a high school athlete, Drew was an Iron Lancer all four years, received the Lancer Strong Award, and was named an NHSSCA High School All-American his senior year. He has come back to work with our athletes for the past 3 summers.
