Dear Bridger Families,

Welcome to School Year 2023-2024! Whether you are brand new to Bridger or ready to begin your 6th year with us, we are delighted to have you as part of our community. At Bridger, we believe that empowering children to reach their highest potential is a partnership between educators and parents. We dedicate ourselves to giving our students a high quality education — engaging and nurturing, challenging and joyful — but we certainly can’t do it alone. We are committed to forging a close relationship with you so that together we can ensure your child has a truly outstanding experience, from preschool through fifth grade.

This handbook is intended to give you a comprehensive overview of what to expect as a Bridger parent at each stage of your child’s educational journey. Families can review all aspects of the K-5 experience: everything from arrival and dismissal to after-school clubs and events to homework and classroom management routines. Knowing these policies and expectations will allow you and your student to thrive at Bridger.

As educators, we have high expectations: We ask a lot of ourselves and we ask a lot of our students. We also ask a lot of you. Beyond loving your child as you already do, your role as a Bridger parent is straightforward, but absolutely essential: helping your student develop positive work habits; build a strong foundation of organizational and time management skills; and put forth the sustained effort to be the best student they can be.

We urge you to set aside some time to read through the handbook carefully. It will give you a thorough understanding of how our school works so that your student can fully reap the benefits of all the opportunities available to them at Bridger Elementary.
