Music Theory

Music theory classes are the study of the foundation of musical structure and understanding through more advanced techniques and concepts. It gives students in the music program a better understanding of the history and creation of music, and this knowledge can help lead to the possibility of a career in music. There are two levels of music theory taught at Lodi High School. The first level is an Honors Music Theory course . The second level is AP Music Theory. Both courses are taught by Mr. Porter.
