Music education takes many forms and can be classified into four types of instruction: Instrumental Music (performance ensembles and lessons), Vocal Music (performance ensembles), Music Harmonization (piano), and General Music (currently taught in grades 1-6 only). The perfromance mediums of instrumental and vocal music are the application of musical concepts first learned in General and/or Harmonized Music classes. Lodi High School offers a mix of curricular and extra curricular opportunities supporting music education: Concert Band, Honors Band, Instrumental Lessons, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Honors Madrigal Choir, Concert Choir, Piano I and II, and the Tri-M National Music Honor Society.
