LISD grades will be directly and explicitly connected to the standard taught. The timing of the standard shall align with the district scope and sequence. The grade shall match the rigor of the standard and be reflective of the students’ IEP, 504, RtI and LPAC accommodations.
The Grading Guidelines set the expectations for teachers for grading. Theses include information on communicating grades to parents, amount of grades expected to be posted and when grades should be posted.
The LISD student management program, Skyward, allows students, teachers and parents to access student information including report cards online at any time.
Pre-kindergarten students are assessed using the Ready, Set, K rubric.
Kindergarten through fourth grade students are assessed using:

checkpoints which are task oriented
standards based report card
The report card will reflect level of mastery for every standard listed on the student report card. Content area standards and special area standards will be reflected with a SBRC rubric score as shown below.
