RESEARCH PAGEANT 2025
Aligned with the University's strategic objective of establishing itself as a premier institution for knowledge dissemination, the Office of Research and Innovation proudly announces the hosting of Research Pageant 2025, scheduled for February 28, 2025. This year's theme, "Research for Global Impact: Sustaining Excellence Towards a Regenerative Future ," emphasizes the vital role of research in driving sustainable development and fostering a regenerative approach to global challenges. As the world grapples with environmental degradation, resource depletion, and socio-economic disparities, it is imperative to prioritize research that addresses these issues holistically .
Regenerative practices aim not only to sustain but to restore and enhance systems, whether environmental, social, or economic. By focusing on innovative and interdisciplinary research, we can create solutions that balance the needs of the present with the demands of future generations. This event underscores the importance of aligning research endeavors with these goals to ensure their relevance and long-term impact. This initiative seeks to inspire collaboration, cultivate innovation, and contribute to the collective vision of a more equitable and resilient world. By exploring regenerative strategies, we can ensure that research continues to be a powerful force for global transformation.
In line with these, the Office of Research and Innovation is committed to facilitating an event exhibiting students' research endeavors as pioneering efforts, contributing significantly to a regenerative future. This initiative fosters a forward-thinking culture among university researchers, encouraging them to explore untapped domains and contribute substantively to the collective pursuit of a better future. The research projects presented will epitomize the apex of academic and innovative excellence across the university's three colleges and the ambitious scholarly pursuits from the master's and doctoral cohorts of the graduate school.
OBJECTIVES
The Research Pageant at Leyte Normal University is designed as a pivotal platform for students to engage in mutual learning, exchange critical insights, and potentially forge collaborative ventures to address intricate, cross-disciplinary challenges. This initiative is dedicated to sharpening students' research acumen and bolstering the university's academic milieu's overall research capacity. The specific objectives of the activity are:
To Identify and Award Excellence in Undergraduate Research: By pinpointing and honoring the recipients of the 'Best Undergraduate Research Paper', this endeavor recognizes outstanding scholarly work and stimulates a competitive yet collaborative environment for academic inquiry. The selected awardees will be honored at the prestigious Dayaw Awards 2025, providing a platform to showcase their academic rigor and innovative thinking.
