Artist Statement:

What memories and experiences can I relate to a necklace I have? How can I combine the visual and memory aspects of each necklace into a piece of art? I selected this theme after realizing how much story and meaning are behind my necklaces. They give me a visual catalyst to inspire a piece of art, as well as a memory to fuel the feeling of the piece. I try to use the shapes and colors of the necklace, and fit them with a scene. As I progressed, I started using humans to convey the emotion, more than just scenery.
