Artist Statement
How can the manipulation of digital photographs alter the way a scene is depicted? Through the course of this year, I have strived to produce the same level of art that I always create and for this AP Sustained investigation, I have kept the same core ideas, light and color. My artwork focuses on practicing and editing different vibrant and saturated colors as I use the lighting in my setting to exaggerate my scenes. My goal was to never create an image that looks fake, rather create an image that brings out the colors that we can see through our eyes but can not see through the camera. Through all of my images shown, I focused mainly on how I could enhance the natural colors of the scene in a visually-interesting way by editing all of my photos in Lightroom. Saturation, vibrance and color tones are my main focuses and I try to experiment with them because one image could have more vibrance while the other one could have more contrast and that is how I try to play with my artwork to create my images. I am very proud of my work and it has a feel to it that other photographs do not and it is what makes my work unique and different from others.
