Student Induction Program

Purpose:

To organize Student Induction Programme (SIP) in order to acclimatize newly admitted students to the college environment, facilitating them to be able to build rapport with fellow students and faculty members, to inculcate in them the ethics and vision of the institution to serve a larger purpose in society.

Scope:

SIP offers a platform for all the newly admitted students to get familiarized with the campus and the culture of the college. It includes an introduction to the academic programmes, the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, the college life and human values that will prepare the students to meet the demands of their course and help in their holistic and integrated learning and development. Through the induction program, every student will be facilitated to understand the vision and mission of L. M. College of Pharmacy.

Responsibility:

  • Familiarization of new students with new environment

  • Engages with the new students as soon as they come into the college

  • Inculcate in them the vision, mission, culture and values of the institution

  • Help them network with other students and faculty members

  • Facilitate the new students to learn about the institutional policies and processes

  • Allot them their mentors for representing issues

  • Analyze their learning capabilities at the point of entry in the college in order to compare their future progress.

  • Inculcate institutional best practices in them

  • Arrange lectures of eminent people to introduce them to pharmacy and its scope

  • Make them aware of college infrastructure

  • Facilitate creativity and literary development in new students

  • Inculcate in them human universal values

  • Arrange physical or virtual visits to local area, industries or institutions
