Purpose

  • To monitor the implementation of the policies for SCs/STs in college.

  • To maintain the database regarding the implementation of the policies for SCs/STs in respect of admissions, appointments to teaching and non-teaching positions in college.

  • To function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the Grievances of SC/ST students and employees of the college and render them necessary help in solving their problems.

Scope

  • It is applicable for the SC/ST Students and Staff members of college.

Constitution

LMCP has constituted an SC ST cell which consists of members of the faculty, administration staff and student representatives.

Action & Activities

  • Formation of SC ST Cell as per GTU and UGC guideline.

  • The principal and management of college shall act as facilitating body.

  • There will be nine individual members which are selected by the facilitating body.

  • Out of nine members, chairperson must be principal of institute, one member from office staff should be act as liaison officer, one member belongs to ST category, one member belongs to SC category, two members belong to open category, one member should be Gujarat Technological Univeristy representative, and two members should be government representative.

  • Membership will be for a period of two years. After two years members can be repeated or new member can be elected by facilitating body.

  • Membership will be terminated in the event of demise or retirement or resignation of a member from his/her post in the college.

Capability development and enhancement opportunities

LMCP has made provisions to offer extra classes or courses for the skill development of students which enables them to identify and grab opportunities in the fields they pursue.

a. ‘Functional English’

The objective of Functional English is to develop the communicative skills of the learners in listening, speaking, writing and reading and also enable students to understand the mechanism of speech, to produce English sounds correctly, to pronounce English with appropriate stress and intonation.

b. ‘Ethics and Etiquette for Pharmacy Professionals’

The objective of this course includes:

To enable students to Create values-for self, for the organization, for society

To enable students to take charge and make things happen, making a positive difference
