Greeting / Opening Praise

God our Father,
we pray that the message of your Son
will dwell richly among us,
as we teach and admonish one another
with the wisdom you give,
and sing with thankfulness in our hearts to you.
And whatever we do, in word or deed,
may it be done
in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and for his glory. 

Amen.

Sing to the Lord, praise his name;

proclaim his salvation day after day.

Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvellous deeds among all peoples. 

We have come together to meet with God,

to express our fellowship in the Lord Jesus,

and to take our part in the building of his church.

We will praise and thank him for his

goodness towards us,

hear from his holy word,
and pray for the world, and for ourselves. 

We have come together in the name of Christ,
to offer our praise and thanksgiving,
to hear and receive God’s holy word,
to pray for the needs of the world,
and to seek the forgiveness of our sins,
that by the power of the Holy Spirit
we may give ourselves to the service of God. 

We meet in the presence of God,
who knows our needs,
hears our cries,
feels our pain,
and heals our wounds. 

Faithful one, whose word is life,
come with saving power
to free our praise,
inspire our prayer
and shape our lives
for the kingdom of your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.

Gracious God, our heavenly Father, 

we humbly thank you for all your gifts so freely given: for life and health and safety, for work and rest and friendship, and for the wonder of creation.

Above all, we praise you for our Saviour, Jesus Christ, for his death and resurrection, for your life-giving Spirit and the hope of sharing in your glory. Fill our hearts with all joy and peace in believing; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Almighty God, 

to whom all hearts are open,
all desires known,
and from whom no secrets are hidden: 

cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit,
that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name, through Christ our Lord. 

Amen.

Gracious God, 

we humbly thank you for life and health and safety, for power to work, leisure to rest, and for all that is beautiful in creation and human life.

But, above all, we praise you for our Saviour, Jesus Christ, for his death and resurrection, for the gift of your Spirit, and for the hope of sharing in your glory.

Fill our hearts with all joy and peace in believing; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
