Because we are a joyful gathering for young and old, we start with two songs.
The gathering leader then welcomes people to church, including a mention of our church culture: "Welcome to church today - we gather joyfully as God's people young and old". "Welcome to church today as we joyfully sing God's praises"
Gathering leader then introduces the Crossfire Thanksgiving/Praise section, "as a gather young and old, our young people will now lead us in giving thanks to God"

As a gathering young and old we have a focus on Kids - including a kids talk.
The Kids Talk should be aimed at school years 4-5
Do not call kids down the front, keep them in the seats with their families.

While the Kids are leaving encourage people to turn around and say hello to each other, to get up and welcome people they haven't seen before.

There needs to be three people rostered for Morning Tea at 10:30am.
Part of the 10.30am morning tea role is preparing the morning tea for the 10.30am kids church and Crossfire so this involves
buy/bring some cut up fruit (enough to make up 3 dinner plates - doesn't need to be a huge amount)
Before service approx. 10am (Note: most of the setup will be done by the 9am people)
Organise / plate food. There is a plastic box labelled “Sunday Morning Gatherings” which should have gluten free biscuits as well as 2 packets of Arnotts biscuits (1 x cream, 1 x assorted). Set up any food on platters before the service and leave on the middle bench and cover with a sheer cloth as the 9am will still be having their morning tea and using the serving area. Keep any gluten free separate, there are labels in the bottom cutlery drawer
Set up 2 trays of morning tea for kids church on the bench in the kitchen where the roller window is as the leaders will collect it when needed.
On each tray put a jug of water, about 15 plastic cups, a mix of 2 of the packaged snacks (about 15 packets each) and a plate of fruit each. Also put a few gluten free cookies in a bowl on the bench.
Crossfire morning tea can be set up on the silver trolley just outside the kitchen , there is usually a box of chips for Crossfire in the crate, add a jug of water, plastic cups, plate of fruit and some gluten free cookies. Just cover the trolley with a sheer cloth from the cupboard until just before the 10.30am service ends. You can wheel the trolley out near the wooden tables just before the service ends if nice weather.
After service - Leave service during last hymn
Fill teapots with hot water (8 teabags in teapot if not already there). Information about the ratios of teabags/coffee scoops are on the urn.
Put out milk jugs from the fridge
Place food on servery. You can either serve the morning tea on the bench where the tea and coffee is or put a table outside if there is lots of food.
Check cups and sugar are on servery
Open servery windows
Cleanup
Put all cups, plates, cutlery, containers through dishwasher (Note: Cups from the coffee machine need to be rinsed before putting in the dishwasher to assist cleaning)
Clean up the kids morning tea (the leaders will put everything back on the bench), Crossfire trolley and adults morning tea. People usually bring their dirty cups back to the kitchen.
Dry and put everything away in the cupboards as marked
Wipe down all surfaces
Close servery windows
Drain the dishwasher
Mop the floor
After Gathering Tidy – give the Foyer/Auditorium a quick tidy (e.g. replace Bibles, clear up items left behind including lost and found)
Bring back inside the Welcome Flags and the Sandwich Boards
Close/lock Doors on both Wascoe St and Raymond St (incl. Hall).
Turn off Air Conditioners/Close windows
Turn off lights (incl. Auditorium/Bathrooms/Foyer)
Feedback - Notes for Ministry Team/Office (e.g. is there anything we need to know – Newcomers names, something needs fixing, brochures running out etc.)
